Gah, get it right!

Dear Reader,

I would like to draw your attention to this: `. It’s called a backtick (well, at least to me), and it is usually found on the same key as the tilde (~). Note that it is NOT an apostrophe: ‘.

There is a big difference between the backtick (`) and the apostrophe (‘), therefore you should NOT use the backtick in place of the apostrophe. It’s NOT all that difficult to figure out which one is the correct one to use. The apostrophe is on the same key as the double quote (“), and the backtick is stuck off on the side of the keyboard at the top left. It’s not difficult, capiche?

If I catch you using the backtick in place of the apostrophe, I’m afraid I will just have to kill you. No, no, don’t even think of trying to convince me otherwise. If you use it, I will kill you. Simple.
